So one final time I will run a marathon, I was due to run this in September, but circumstances changed. I have decided to run a marathon in Feb to give me time to train as running has been off my radar for sometime.
To reflect the changes that have happened in my life, I am now running for two very different charities so please know that whatever money is raised will be split and donated on a 50/50 basis.
The charities I have chosen are both so important to me.
As those of you close to me may know I have a son with Autism who goes to The Wherry School and the children who attend this school have many needs, so the list of equipment and support they need is substantial and ever changing.
The Farleigh Hospice is a charity that up until a few weeks ago I knew nothing about. I wish I could still say that in the nicest possible way. However my brother has received unwavering support from them at this time, and as a family too, so it feels right to try and give a little something back, so the support they give can continue for others.
I run knowing that what I run for is never more heartfelt, every step in training, every mile under my belt will be run with my brother at the forefront and of course knowing that we can invest in The Wherry's children's futures also.
